What happens when nobody knows your name? No one cares.

The Colin Powell School at City College had a problem. No one knew who they were. Not even their students. Our challenge was to create a point of view for them that was true to who they want to be. On a public school budget.
Using their Human Rights events as a starting point we focused on what CPS cares about: getting people talking about problems that seem impossible to solve.

PRINT CAMPAIGN: ecreating the tension of difficult situations via print posters, showing the way stereotypes obscure our shared humanity.

Print served also as interactive piece. All of the words on the posters were removable, eventually allowing the person underneath to be seen. A representation of the heart of the Human Rights Series. One the back of each word was an invitation to the event and the hashtag to jump into the conversation.

Helping students feel like they a part of a community is the best way to get them to be brand advocates. By allowing students to be an integral part of the Human Rights series --choosing event topics, coordinating event logistics-- and showing their affilaition boldly, they will naturally begin to form connections with the school and each other
